The City Municipal building and administrative offices, along with constitutional offices, will be closed on May 25 in observance of Memorial Day, according to a May 22 announcement. Essential employees such as those in Police, Fire, EMS, and water or sewer plant operations will continue working their normal schedules.

The closure affects city services and means there will be no bulk or brush pickup on Monday. Regular operations for these services are set to resume the following day on Tuesday, May 26.

The city says the closure is part of its annual observance of Memorial Day. The holiday typically honors military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces.

Essential operational positions are not impacted by the closure and are expected to maintain public safety and utility functions during the holiday period.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for any municipal business or waste collection needs ahead of the long weekend.
