U.S. Representative Morgan Griffith, who chairs the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, recently visited Connect Health + Wellness in Martinsville, Virginia. The visit involved discussions with hospital leadership and staff regarding rural health care issues.
“The Martinsville-Henry County area is served by dedicated health care professionals, like those at Connect Health + Wellness,” said Representative Griffith. “I am thankful for the opportunity to tour their dental facility in Martinsville. As the new chairman of the Health Subcommittee, I support finding ways that help our rural hospitals provide critical health care access to rural communities.”

The visit comes shortly after Representative Griffith’s appointment as Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. He has expressed a commitment to collaborating with Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Brett Guthrie on improving health care access for rural areas.
