The City of Martinsville has announced two upcoming Community Drop-In Events aimed at gathering public input for its Comprehensive Plan. The first event will take place on April 15, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the New College Institute. A second drop-in is scheduled for May 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the same location.

These events are designed to encourage residents to share their ideas and ask questions about the future direction of Martinsville. According to city officials, there will be no formal presentations during these sessions. Instead, attendees can engage in open conversations about community priorities.

Residents who are unable to attend either session are encouraged to participate by completing an online survey related to the Comprehensive Plan at surveymonkey.com/r/MartinsvilleMomentum.

City representatives have emphasized the importance of community involvement in shaping local policy and planning decisions. “We’re hosting Community Drop-In Events where YOU can share your ideas, ask questions, and help shape the future of Martinsville!” city officials stated in a release.

The city is also urging participants to invite others so that a wide range of perspectives can be considered as part of this planning process.
