Morgan Griffith, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Virginia’s 9th district since 2011, regularly shares updates on his activities and views through social media. His recent posts covered topics including health care leadership, local health facility visits, and reflections on political violence.

On July 12, 2025, Griffith shared his latest newsletter update with the message “CONGRESSMAN GRIFFITH’S WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER 7.11.25 Topic: Health Chair”.

Later that day, he highlighted a visit to a local dental facility in Martinsville, stating “The Martinsville-Henry County area is served by dedicated health care professionals, like those at Connect Health + Wellness. I am thankful for the opportunity to have toured their dental facility in Martinsville this week.” This underscores his engagement with community health services in his district.

On July 13, 2025, Griffith marked the anniversary of an attempted assassination of a presidential figure in Butler, Pennsylvania with a reminder against political violence: “One year ago today on a field in Butler, Pennsylvania, the country watched an attempted assassination of a presidential figure. Let this day serve as a reminder that the ugly act of political violence is never the answer in America.”

Born in Philadelphia in 1958 and now residing in Salem, Griffith holds degrees from Emory and Henry College (BA) and Washington and Lee University (JD).
