U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith, who represents Virginia’s 9th district, has recently used his social media platform to address several legislative priorities and share updates with constituents.

On January 12, 2026, Griffith posted on X: “We elect representatives to serve the American people. We don’t elect representatives to improperly boost their own stock profiles. I am proud to be an original cosponsor of the Stop Insider Trading Act! https://t.co/DRKQeHxmUv”.

The following day, January 13, he shared a link to his regular constituent update: “CONGRESSMAN GRIFFITH’S WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER 1.9.26 Topic: Western Caucus https://t.co/ove04InNnB”.

Later that same day, Griffith addressed healthcare equity for rural Americans in another post: “We need to ensure that rural areas of the country, including Virginia’s Ninth District, receive fair federal treatment for the administration of Medicare services for patients. https://t.co/XybCtr7wow”.

Morgan Griffith has served in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Rick Boucher as representative for Virginia’s 9th district. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2000 through 2010. Born in Philadelphia in 1958 and currently residing in Salem, Griffith holds a BA from Emory and Henry College and a JD from Washington and Lee University.
