U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith has been appointed as Chairman of the Health Subcommittee by U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce Chairman Brett Guthrie. Congressman Griffith expressed enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I am excited to take on the role as the Health Subcommittee Chairman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee! I look forward to continuing the work of former Chairman Buddy Carter and wish him well in all his endeavors. Further, I am committed to advancing Chairman Guthrie’s priorities.”

Griffith highlighted his previous collaboration with Guthrie on healthcare issues during his tenure as chair of the Oversight Subcommittee. He will also continue serving on the Environment Subcommittee alongside its new chairman, Gary Palmer.

“I have had the pleasure of working closely with Chairman Guthrie on many health care related issues, particularly while I chaired the Oversight Subcommittee,” Griffith noted. “I will remain on the Environment Subcommittee, where I will support Chairman Palmer as we look for reauthorization of numerous important environmental programs.”
