On Thursday, March 19, at 2 p.m., former George Wythe High School standout Olivia Shockley pitched for the UVA Wise Cavaliers as they lost 7-4 to the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in an NCAA Division II softball matchup.

The teams faced off at Bill Gatton Softball Field for their first encounter of the season.

Shockley allowed 3 earned runs in 3.1 innings, walking 1 and striking out 3.

The Cavaliers will play the Bears again in their next game, scheduled for 4:35 p.m. at Bill Gatton Softball Field.
