Emory & Henry College issued the following announcement on Oct. 29
On Friday, October 29, Emory & Henry College officials and guests kicked off the renovation project for the new School of Business.
Historic Carriger Hall, former men’s dormitory, is being renovated to accommodate high tech classrooms and a new spacious, multi-tiered outdoor gathering space for the entire campus to enjoy.
“As the oldest college in Southwest Virginia, we continue to honor our past by using the beautiful Carriger Hall with so many architectural flourishes which means so much to generations of students who have lived here,” says President Dr. John W. Wells. “With our new School of Business, Emory & Henry promises to play a part in rebuilding the economic infrastructure of our area and making certain that Southwest Virginia continues to remain a great place to live.”
The School of Business will transform the College’s undergraduate business department and emphasize the value of work and the development of creative, problem-solving leaders. Executive Education, certificates and online programs are also being developed.
