Of the 5,311 people living in Richlands in 2020, 52.8 percent (2,804) were women and 47.2 percent (2,507) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SW Virginia News.

There were as many males 18 and over as females. In the 65 and over age range, there were 942 females and 517 males.
