There were two Hawaiian students enrolled in Wythe County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Wythe County Public Schools District welcomed 3,803 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hawaiian students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the school.

Wythe County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Wythe County and has a main office in Wytheville.

Among the 12 schools in Wythe County Public Schools District, Sheffey Elementary School and Fort Chiswell High School welcomed only one Hawaiian student in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
