Enrollment Analysis: Black students comprised 0.5% of Lee County Public Schools District's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were 16 Black students enrolled in Lee County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Lee County Public Schools District welcomed 2,971 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the school.

Lee County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Lee County and has a main office in Jonesville.

Among the 10 schools in Lee County Public Schools District, Lee High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
