2023-24 School Year Enrollment: 218 3rd-grade students welcomed in Lee County schools

There were 218 3rd-grade students enrolled in Lee County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 10.1% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 3rd-grade students in the county was Dryden Elementary School.

Within Lee County schools, the largest number of students were found in 9th-grade, while 12th-grade had the least students.

Statewide, Lee County ranked 76th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 77th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
