239 students were enrolled for 11th-grade in Carroll County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 239 11th-grade students enrolled in Carroll County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 2.1% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Carroll County High School was the only school that welcomed 11th-grade students in the county.

Within Carroll County schools, the largest number of students were found in 9th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Carroll County ranked 71st in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 69th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
