U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith participated in the 2024 Food City – United Way Celebrity Bagging Event, volunteering at the Wytheville Food City located at 155 W Lee Hwy. This event saw him bagging groceries for local customers as part of a broader initiative involving multiple Food City locations.
Griffith commented on the collaboration between Food City and United Way, stating, “This partnership between Food City and United Way demonstrates the fantastic charity and generosity towards local communities in the Ninth District.” He expressed his gratitude for being involved with other volunteers, emphasizing the charitable work being done for the region.
The congressman extended his well-wishes to residents of Wytheville and across the Ninth District, saying, “I wish all in Wytheville and across the Ninth District a happy Thanksgiving!”
Congressman Griffith has been a recurring participant in this event. In previous years, he volunteered at different locations, including last year's participation at Weber City's Food City.
