ARC awards $100K grant for hurricane recovery in Virginia

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has provided a $100,000 grant to the Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission. This funding is aimed at aiding disaster recovery efforts and offering technical assistance to 12 communities affected by Hurricane Helene.

U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith commented on the grant, stating: “This ARC grant for $100,000 helps Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission provide funding application assistance and relevant disaster relief resources to communities that fall under their jurisdiction.”

The Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission will manage and distribute this aid across 12 communities in Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell counties.
