Morgan Griffith, an established U.S. Congress member representing Virginia’s 9th district, has been actively voicing his opinions and engaging with his constituents. His recent tweets shed light on his positions regarding pharmaceutical regulation, community engagement, and disaster recovery efforts.

On April 3, 2025, Griffith expressed his views on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s pace in authorizing over-the-counter drugs, comparing it to other countries. He stated, "The FDA is lagging behind other countries in authorizing certain over-the-counter drugs. I argue that we should be importing data from these countries to facilitate better and more timely reviews of these drugs."

At a Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Bristol on April 4, 2025, Griffith received cards with a message opposing taxes on credit unions. He noted, "This morning in Bristol for the monthly Chamber of Commerce breakfast. After the breakfast, members of Eastman Credit Union and United Southeast Federal Credit Union delivered to me cards from over 2,000 constituents with the message: no taxes on credit unions!"

Later the same day, Griffith announced a major disaster declaration for Virginia approved by President Trump, highlighting collaborative efforts with colleagues. He stated, "President Trump has approved Virginia’s major disaster declaration! As a team, @MarkWarner @SenTimKaine and I made continued efforts to get to this key step. This approval will help Southwest Virginia communities recover following the February winter storms."
