He mentioned being accompanied by notable figures such as Jason Miyares, Sheriff Gary Parsons, and Chief Lane of Norton. In his post, he stated: “Great to be in Lee County with @JasonMiyaresVA, Sheriff Gary Parsons, Chief Lane of Norton & local law enforcement. Proud to stand with the men and women who keep Southwest Virginia safe every day. We’ve got your back.”

Kilgore also marked a significant personal occasion on June 21, 2025. He celebrated his 38th wedding anniversary with Debbie Kilgore. In his heartfelt message, he wrote: “Happy 38th anniversary to Debbie!! After 2 children and 3 granddaughters, i am thankful she has been by my side through this journey!! Love you Debbie!!”

Later that day, Kilgore attended an event at the Carter Family Fold alongside Senator Todd Pillion. They were present for the presentation of the Logo Design Award from the Virginia Tourism Corporation in recognition of its 50th anniversary celebration logo. He shared: “It was great to be at the Carter Family Fold tonight with Senator @ToddPillionVA where they received the Logo Design Award from the Virginia Tourism Corporation for its 50th anniversary celebration logo.”

The Carter Family Fold is a cultural venue located in Hiltons, Virginia.
