LEE COUNTY: Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact

Lee County issued the following announcement on May 19

This Notice shall satisfy the above-cited procedural notification requirement.

FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

The County of Lee has determined that The Fields Waterline Replacement Phase II project will have no significant impact on the human environment.  Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required.  The project mainly consists of approximately 7,771 linear feet of water lines and includes all applicable appurtenances to reconnect approximately thirty-six (36) customers to the existing western Lee PSA system.  Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) on file at the Lee County Courthouse in the County Administrator’s Office, located at the Lee County Courthouse, Room 111 Jonesville, VA  24263 and may be examined or copied weekdays 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., as well as on the County’s website at www.leecova.org.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to comment on the project may submit written comments to the Lee County Administrator’s Office, located at the address above.  All comments received by June 18th, 2021 will be considered by Lee County prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds.  Commentors should specify which part of this Notice they are addressing.
