EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE: Tracey Wright named new Dean of Students at Emory & Henry College

Emory & Henry College issued the following announcement on June 9

As Dean of Students, Wright will provide for the educational welfare of students and foster a culture of inclusivity, student success and engagement.

Wright brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration, including the positions of Director of Multicultural Student Development and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Development at Appalachian State University.

“We are confident that Dean Wright will foster a vibrant and engaged approach to Student Affairs and will support our retention efforts in a variety of ways in this role,” says Dr. Michael Puglisi, Provost and Executive Vice President at Emory & Henry College. “She will be a significant partner in our efforts to enrich an environment of diversity on campus.”

Wright received her Master’s of Education and Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University and is currently working toward her Doctor of Education at Trevecca Nazarene University.

“I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve as Emory & Henry College’s Dean of Students because working with and on behalf of students brings me joy,” says Wright. “I am excited about engaging in conversations with the students and my team as we create an inclusive excellence environment that enhances the co-curricular and out of class experiences for our student population.”
