Emory & Henry Women’s Basketball Sees Four Named Academic All-District By College Sports Communicators

The College Sports Communicators, formerly known as CoSIDA, has released its Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division II Women's Basketball for the 2022-23 season. Four players from Emory & Henry College have received the honor.

Senior guard Amaya Lee (Bristol, Va.), sophomore center Chelsi Hodges (Boone, N.C.), sophomore forward Grace Glance (Clyde, N.C.) and sophomore guard Hannah Spainhour (King, N.C.) were E&H's representatives.

Across NCAA Division II, there were 438 women's basketball players to make the team, including a total of 20 from the South Atlantic Conference.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
