There were 146 Black students enrolled in Tazewell County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 2.1% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Tazewell County Public Schools District welcomed 5,307 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 2.8% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.
