Morgan Griffith, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 9th district, recently shared his perspectives on several pressing issues via social media. Griffith, who has been in office since 2011 after succeeding Rick Boucher, voiced his views on economic growth, border security, and energy policy through a series of tweets.

On March 5, 2025, Griffith referenced President Biden's vision for America in a tweet: "Tonight @POTUS outlined his vision: Grow our economy; Secure our borders; Make America an energy-dominant power. These constitute the renewal of the American Dream."

Later that day, Griffith addressed regulatory challenges faced by American industries in another post: "More job-killing, last-minute Biden rules are on the chopping block this week. I am on the House floor to support American rubber tire manufacturers and voice the disastrous effects of EPA rules on rural America." This statement highlighted his opposition to recent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

In a subsequent tweet posted on March 5, 2025, Griffith questioned changes made by the EPA regarding safety standards: "Somehow the EPA finalized a rule without explaining how the 'ample margin of safety' they found four years ago just disappeared. How does this happen? Tire manufacturers and jobs will suffer because of these costly regs." He expressed concern over potential impacts on tire manufacturing jobs due to new regulatory measures.
