Morgan Griffith, a U.S. Congressional representative for Virginia's 9th district, has recently expressed his views on various subjects, including economic policies and international relations, through a series of posts on the social media platform, X.

On April 11, 2025, Griffith highlighted his participation in a roundtable discussion with local business leaders in Bristol, which was hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He stated, "Last week, I joined local business leaders in Bristol at a roundtable hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce." He further expressed commitment to "pro-growth policies that serve working families and small businesses in the region" alongside Rep. Diana Harshbarger.

In another post made on April 11, 2025, Griffith expressed concerns over international dealings, stating, "Communist China is trying to sabotage America’s Panama Canal deal, undermine a TikTok deal and escalate a trade war. They should strongly reconsider if they want to work with America and President Trump!" His comments highlight tensions between the United States and China regarding trade and agreements involving U.S. business interests.

The following day, on April 12, 2025, Griffith extended gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Sears for addressing issues in Southwest Virginia communities affected by storms earlier in the year, remarking, "Thank you Lt. Gov. Sears for your attention to the swva communities impacted by Helene and the February storms. Your support and work with Governor Youngkin are helpful to our recovery!"

Griffith has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2011, after replacing former member Rick Boucher. Born in 1958 in Philadelphia, he currently resides in Salem and holds degrees from Emory and Henry College and Washington and Lee University.
