The Roanoke County Police Department in Virginia has been awarded $28,181 by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to enhance safety measures for both police personnel and the citizens of Roanoke County. This funding, provided through BJA’s fiscal year 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, will facilitate the purchase of essential safety equipment for the department.
