Virginia Tech receives $239,758 grant for Alzheimer's research

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Virginia Tech a $239,758 grant for aging research related to Alzheimer’s Disease. This brain disorder destroys memory and cognitive function. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Alzheimer’s Disease is a devastating illness for patients and their families with no known cure.

“This grant for $239,758 helps Virginia Tech dedicate more efforts to understanding a harmful brain disease.”
