Morgan Griffith discusses education initiatives with university presidents

Morgan Griffith, a U.S. Congressman representing Virginia's 9th District since 2011, recently shared several updates via his social media platform. Griffith, who succeeded Rick Boucher in Congress and has a background in law from Washington and Lee University, continues to engage with educational and community developments within his district.

On March 7, 2025, Griffith highlighted the educational opportunities available for college students in the Ninth District. He noted receiving updates from President Sands of Virginia Tech and President Fincher of Emory & Henry University regarding their initiatives and policy priorities. "The Ninth District offers great educational opportunities for college students. This week I got updates from President Sands of Virginia Tech and President Fincher of Emory & Henry University on some of their initiatives and policy priorities."

The newsletter provides insights into various topics addressed by the congressman during that week. On March 9, 2025, Griffith celebrated Floyd County High School's achievement as Class 2 state champions in girls' indoor track and field.
