Morgan Griffith discusses recent meetings with athletes and officials

Morgan Griffith, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 9th district, shared a series of tweets over several days in March 2025, discussing various engagements and meetings. Griffith has been a congressional representative since 2011 after succeeding Rick Boucher and has a background in law with degrees from Emory and Henry College and Washington and Lee University.

On March 19, 2025, Morgan Griffith tweeted about an encounter with Radford University student-athlete Meredith Page while he was in Washington D.C. "While in DC this month, I ran into Radford University student-athlete Meredith Page. Meredith has testified to Congress before on NIL student-athlete deals, and I am glad she is continuing advocacy in this space!"

The following day, March 20, Griffith posted about meeting Congressman Virgil Goode during his travels along US 220 before heading to Patrick County. He expressed appreciation for Goode's extensive public service record. "Congressman Virgil Goode’s record of public service to the Commonwealth spans decades. While going down US 220, I am glad I could stop by and see my long-time friend before I make my way to Patrick County."

On March 21, Griffith reported on his visit to Boones Mill where he engaged with local officials regarding economic development initiatives for the town. "I enjoyed visiting with officials in Boones Mill Thursday morning to discuss economic development in the town."
