The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded Lee County a $700,000 grant to support a waterline extension project for the Town of Stickleyville. This initiative aims to connect 12 households to the municipal water system. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) commented on the grant:

“People with poor access to safe and reliable drinking water are vulnerable to health challenges related to waterborne illnesses and harmful chemicals.

“This ARC grant for $700,000 helps Lee County promote safe and reliable drinking water for residents.”

Upon completion, the Lee County Public Service Authority will own, operate, and maintain the new infrastructure.
