The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) has awarded a grant to MOVA Technologies, a company located in Pulaski, Virginia. The grant, amounting to $649,968, is intended to support research aimed at addressing significant scientific challenges and opportunities within the agriculture sector.
U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith of Virginia commented on the award, stating: "This USDA NIFA research grant for $649,968 helps MOVA Technologies complete a project that advances ammonia capture solutions for concentrated animal feeding operations, namely the poultry industry."
The funding is part of the USDA Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs. The primary objectives of the project are to reduce indoor ammonia levels to enhance animal performance and decrease environmental emissions.
