Clinch Valley Community Action recently issued the following announcement.
Clinch Valley Community Action (CVCA) and Virginia Housing will open the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. The program will take applications ONLINE ONLY and the waiting list will close on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.
Those who apply will be chosen randomly by lottery to be added to the waiting list. Not everyone who applies will be added to the waiting list. The CVCA waiting list area covers Russell and Tazewell counties.
Applicants will be able to apply beginning at 9:00 a.m. on June 9th until 5:00 p.m. The website to apply is vhda.apply4housing.com. You may apply using a laptop or desktop computer or mobile device. Applicants will receive a confirmation number once their application is submitted indicating the application was received. Anyone can apply on behalf of another applicant. You may check to see if you were chosen in the lottery on June 10, 2021, after 10:00 a.m. by going to the following website: vhda.apply4housing.com/status. Applications will not be taken by phone, mail or in person. If the applicant is a person with a disability and they require an accommodation in order to apply, please contact the CVCA staff for assistance to apply during the opening time period.
