Appalachian Regional Commission awards $500K grant for community recovery project

The Appalachian Regional Commission has granted $500,000 to the Piedmont Regional Community Services Board. This funding is intended to enhance access to recovery services and improve employment opportunities in the region. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) commented on the grant:

“This ARC grant for $500,000 helps Piedmont Regional Community Services Board improve greater access to substance use disorder recovery services and enhance the job prospects of recovery-based applicants in the region.”

Piedmont Community Services provides support to Franklin, Henry, and Patrick Counties, as well as the City of Martinsville. The initiative is named Piedmont Regional Community Services Board - Community Recovery Employment Ecosystem Expansion.
