Spiller Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Wythe County schools, welcoming 635 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 55.6% of them were male, and 44.4% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 84.6% of Spiller Elementary School's total enrollment.

Among the 12 schools in Wythe County, George Wythe High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 450 students, while Fort Chiswell High School welcomed 431 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Spiller Elementary School is part of Wythe County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Wythe County, with its main office in Wytheville.

In the previous school year, Spiller Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Wythe County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
